Why so many struggle with OnlyFans

There are 13 common reasons on why an OnlyFans model will struggle, and every struggling OnlyFans model does at least several of these common mistakes.

If you don't advertise, nobody will know you or your OnlyFans page exists. It doesn't matter how amazing your content is or how much customer service you provide on your OnlyFans if there's no audience to see it.

You need to be firing on all cylinders! This means working multiple Instagram pages, Facebook Business Page, YouTube, TikTok, and if your comfortable advertising free NSFW stuff then Reddit, and X (Twitter) too.

And you must work each Advertising Platform competently and understand the intricacies of each in order to get the most out of them. Each one has a specific strategy which isn't hard to impose once you know it, and once you do, it will allow you to get the most from your efforts.

With competent execution over time, your Advertising Platforms will begin growing in an exponential compounding (snowball) effect, giving you more results for less effort; this will become noticeable after around 1 to 2 years of consistent and competent activity.

They are grossly inefficient with their time and burn themselves out

Most models are juggling with a day job, kids, family, and the like; OnlyFans is often last on the priority list and gets neglected, resulting in a shortage of content, periods of dormant activity, and lost Subscribers as a result.

But if you just learn the optimal way to shoot content, you can get weeks worth of both advertising and OnlyFans content in just 2 hours of shooting.

In fact, my partner had a 40 hour a week day job and only had time for about 4 hours to shoot a week (I handled everything else though), yet we posted something to the Wall at least every other day (including full photosets all in one post) and were still able to stockpile months worth of future content from this a routine allowing us to remain active during times of sickness or vacation. Also important to note, too many spend too much time doing things that are not priority and too little time on things that are, causing them to waste hard efforts in return for little results, and are often oblivious the fact they are even doing that.

OnlyFans is not a get rich quick scheme and if your not a celebrity or have mainstream media attention you will need to preform more than just simple nudes on camera: you will need to at least show vagina spread pictures, masturbate on camera, and maybe even more on a regular basis if you want to make meaningful income.

You also shouldn't expect to make a meaningful income in your first 3 months. Its not until after this beginner time period of steady brand building that you'll be making closer to your full potential.

If your re-Subscribe Rate is below 50%, your doing something wrong. I always maintained a >60% re-Subscribe Rate in order to compound over time despite having over 4k paid subscribers at times.

Remember, it is just as important to retain your long-term Subscribers in addition to seeking new ones! You must progressively collect recurring, long-term fans over time in order to give you a better income.

To do this, you must understand why they leave or feel ripped off.

Reason # 1 - Lack of entertainment value on your page

Your main purpose for being an OnlyFans model is to be an entertainer first and foremost. Men are seeking to be entertained and if you don't succeed in doing that, they will leave and likely never come back again.

This can be because:

Reason # 1b - Long periods of dormant activity and/or not enough interaction

You must avoid long periods of dormant activity by always having a stockpile of content from filming your content in bulk, so that you always have things to post, and always checking to answer messages from time to time.

Even if your sick or on vacation, you should state a video on your Wall stating what is going on with your life just to keep people posted instead of just abandoning operations, and still make an effort to answer your messages from time to time if you can.

This is because Subscribers will rapidly unsubscribe even if your dormant for only a short time period, which is a huge problem because you must aim to consistently compound (snowball) your Subscriber Count progressively over time, gaining more and more fans and leverage this momentum. If you have a period of dormancy, you will lose this ability to compound over time. Remember, it is just as important to retain your long-term Subscribers in addition to seeking new ones!

Reason # 2 - Grossly overpriced or misleading Pay Message Content

A subscriber doesn't fully know what he's buying until he pays for it. Therefore, if he opens the video and see's that its of low quality, not what was advertised, or not to his liking, he will immediately lose trust in you and no longer be interested in pursuing a subscription with you. Your Pay Messages should always leave him feeling impressed and satisfied, which isn't hard to do since its easy to make better videos than most of the other models on OnlyFans.

The main reason why a subscriber leaves, never to return, is because he feels ripped off. Because when he subscribes, he doesn't know what he's going to get. He pays knowing there's always a risk that whatever's on the other side of the pay wall will be not to his liking.

If he joins and does not like what he see's, he will feel ripped off, leave and never return again, taking his money with him.

Reason # 2a - Poor quality content overall

You are competing with every other OnlyFans model and also free adult entertainment on the internet, so you have to put at least a little bit of effort into standing out. This was already explained in the Section above.

The only models that can make meaningful money with only nude content without going any further are celebrities, those with mainstream media attention, or the ultra attractive (10/10).

Examples of poor investments are:

Fancy camera equipment, photography courses, or hiring professional photographers that are not needed; men don't care about artsy photographs with bokeh; they want to see your vagina and boobs! This can be done with just a cell phone camera and a tripod. Far too many often forget this and give their fans content that isn't what they want.
They purchase fancy clothes or content rather than just buying them and returning them or buying them secondhand.

The main things you need to reinvest in are:

A variety of lingerie, sex toys, and sex equipment (which cannot be returned to the store) to make unboxing and demonstration videos and to keep future masturbation videos interesting.

They chose an excessively narrow theme/niche rather than a broad one

Many falsely believe that choosing a very specific theme/niche will help them, however it just pigeonholes them down to a overly tiny audience that renders them unable to gain income from a broader number of Subscribers.

For example, if you name your account "Misty The Feet Girl" and have a heavy advertising emphasis on your feet, you just disqualified yourself from the 80% of the population that does not have any attraction to feet whatsoever. If you planned on doing feet content, you still can on a frequent basis, however you will need to cater to a more broadly enjoyed category and just sprinkle feet content within that instead.

The above example is the same with any other narrow niches, such as having excessive tattoos and piercings, embodying the "bimbo" look with overly big lips, dominatrix, BDSM, punk rock look, etc.

Instead your theme/niche must be something that can attract as broad of an audience as possible.
